Redland is mostly the area spanning Cranbrook Road and also includes a small span of lower Gloucester Road and up to St Andrew’s Park, a much loved and used public green space.
The secondary school of Redland Green in the ward and also, just outside the ward, Cotham (where many of the ward’s young people go to school and which combine for the sixth form), benefitted hugely from the Labour Government’s Building Schools for the Future programme. Many of the school buildings are new, well designed and welcoming places which encourage a calm and inspiring atmosphere for learning.
Pupils benefit from new performing arts spaces, again supported by the Labour government. Primary school age children go to schools outside the ward. The Redland Library provides an impressive range of library services and is fully accessible, thanks to improvements under the Labour government programme of support for increasing disability access.
