Lawrence Hill

Lawrence Hill is a very large ward comprising St. Philips Marsh, Redclife and Barton Hill.

It contains Bristol’s Temple Meads station and so the continued viability and improvement to the Severn Beach line is of great importance to citizens in getting about the city.

The area saw significant investment and improvement under the last Labour Government including a “New Deal for Communities” in order to improve the Barton Hill area. Most of Lawrence Hill is defined as in the poorest 10% of the Country as such there is significant local concern about the Tory led Government’s savage cuts agenda and the thoughtless way in which Liberal Democrats have cut essential services, raised charges on meals on wheel and refused to recruit PCSOs in order to protect the community.

Your Labour Councillors are Hibaq Jama and Margaret Hickman
